Dr Chrissie Yu BSc MBBS (Lond.) MD (Lond.) FRCOG

Miss Chrissie Yu is a highly respected consultant obstetrician with patients at two prestigious private hospitals in London.

Miss Yu has over 20 years’ experience in the NHS and her private practice. She offers private obstetric care (antenatal, labour and postnatal) for mothers and babies at the Lindo Wing, St Mary’s Hospital and the Portland Hospital. Miss Yu is also a lead Consultant Obstetrician in the NHS at St Mary’s Hospital, London.

Miss Yu’s leading research into pre-eclampsia is widely published in numerous journals worldwide. In 2004, Chrissie was awarded an MD from the University of London for her landmark research into the use of low-dose aspirin in the prevention of pre-eclampsia in women with abnormal uterine artery Dopplers at 23 weeks’ pregnancy.

As an advocate for the importance of medical education she teaches junior medical staff on safe obstetric practice and lectures in fetal ultrasound and fetal-maternal medicine. In 2017 Miss Yu was awarded Fellowship of The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and sits on the Committee for Standards in the Part I and Part II RCOG exams.
