Overview
Intrauterine devices also known as ‘coils’ are ideal for women who wish to use this for contraception or to help with heavy or painful periods. Coil insertions with Dr Hayes are designed with you in mind, making it as easy and stress-free as possible to have a coil fitted, removed or replaced.
What to expect at your appointment:
- Consultation with Dr Hayes
- Detailed discussion of medical history and personal health concerns
- Abdominal and pelvic examination
- Advice on contraception and sexual health
- Blood pressure check
- Coil fitting and coil device
- Prescription arrangement
- Written medical report
Fees:
- Non-hormonal coils (Novaplus T380): £445
- Hormonal coils (Mirena, Kyleena, or Jaydess): £545
- Removal of existing coil: £50
Enhanced contraceptive coil insertion
- Cervical HPV screen: £150
Cytology screening on request or as required +£50 - 6 week follow up check: £200
Additional referral options:
- Pelvic ultrasound scan
Additional tests can be added at your request or Dr Hayes’ recommendation. Please note additional fees may apply.
