The menopause is different for everyone. The common signs and symptoms (hot flashes, irregular periods, mood swings etc.) are usually enough to tell most women that they’ve started the transition. This can have a big impact on your life, including relationships and work. Our menopause check is designed to help you take control with expert advice and individualised treatment.
What to expect at your appointment:
- Consultation with Dr Hayes
- Detailed discussion of medical history and personal health concerns
- Abdominal and pelvic examination
- Blood tests:
- Lipid Profile
- FSH
- Glucose
- Oestradiol
- Thyroid function
- Prescription arrangement
- Individualised treatment plan for managing symptoms
- Written medical report
- Written notification of all test results
Enhanced menopause review:
- Cervical HPV screen: £150
Cytology screening on request or as required +£50
Additional referral options:
- Pelvic ultrasound scan
- Breast screening (mammogram and/or breast ultrasound scan)
- Bone density / DEXA scan for osteoporosis
Additional tests can be added at your request or Dr Hayes’ recommendation. Please note additional fees may apply.
