Overview
Thrush is a common yeast infection that affects most women at some point in their life. Whilst most cases can be treated quickly, recurrent thrush needs a different approach where the cause of the thrush is treated.
What to expect at your appointment:
- Consultation with Dr Hayes
- Detailed discussion of medical history and personal health concerns
- Abdominal and pelvic examination
- Vaginal swab to check for:
- Candida species
- Gardnerella vaginalis
- Trichomonas vaginalis
- Blood tests:
- Ferritin
- Full blood count
- HbA1c
- Random blood glucose
- Vitamin D
- Prescription arrangement
- Written medical report
- Written notification of all test results
Enhanced recurrent thrush screen:
- Cervical HPV screen: £150
Cytology screening on request or as required +£50
Additional tests can be added at your request or Dr Hayes’ recommendation. Please note additional fees may apply.
