Overview
Outpatient hysteroscopies are designed to investigate, diagnose and possibly treat a number of issues within the uterus. Whether you suffer from abnormal bleeding, recurrent miscarriage or simply need help with a displaced IUD coil, an outpatient hysteroscopy can investigate your concern without the need for general anaesthetic.
What to expect at your appointment:
- Consultation with Dr Hayes
- Detailed discussion of medical history and personal health concerns
- Abdominal and pelvic examination
- Outpatient hysteroscopy procedure (scheduled on a separate day to consultation)
- Biopsy and histology testing if required
- Prescription arrangement
- Follow up consultation to discuss results
- Written medical report
Enhanced outpatient hysteroscopy:
- Cervical HPV screen: £150
Cytology screening on request or as required +£50 - Insertion or replacement of IUD coil: Hormonal coil: £160 / Non-hormonal coil: £60
- Additional histology charges may be required for larger samples
Additional tests can be added at your request or Dr Hayes’ recommendation. Please note additional fees may apply.
